Public sessions: visits guided by the curators

Registrations are open for a guided visit to the exhibition “A Journey Through Human Genetic Diversity” in Porto.

During these public sessions, the curators will guide the audience through each piece, explaining the science, history and art behind the exhibit, from the first circum-navigation of Fernão de Magalhães and Juan Sebastián Elcano to the voyage of the human species across the globe in the last 200 000 years. Exploring, moreover, the interaction between genetics and identity through visual artistic expression.

The exhibit A Journey Through Human Genetic Diversity will be displayed at i3S between January 16th and April 30th, 2024, Monday through Sunday (10 am – 8 pm). Attendance is free of charge.
